Hello! My name is Maritza Hidrogo, and I am currently a UTEP freshman student who is studying Graphic Design. Many challenges have been given to me when it comes with writing, but with the help of this course, RWS 1301 and RWS 1302, I have definitely changed my way of thinking about writing and research. I must admit that with each of our writing assignments I was able to figure out new things about myself as a writer which is something that I find really critical. With the help of these assignments, I was able to learn more about courses that I am taking, and about topics that I am interested in. I feel much more confident about my style of writing and I also learned that if I want to make something sound really good, I must not think about it too much and write my feelings out. I definitely feel like this will help me in the long run in other classes and even in my career. I know that in other courses I will have many papers to write and the opportunity of having this course has helped so much in learning how to properly revise my papers and know where I can go to get help. I believe that one of the areas that I need to concentrate the most on and work more on would be learning how to properly organize a paper in a more logical way and how to show a more precise argument. This course has truly helped me see in a clearer way what I could change about my style of writing to make it more engaging and fun to read.
