Literature Review and Research Report
Having the ability to write a Literature Review and Research Report was a truly fun experience for me because I got the ability to research about anything that I wanted to research about. When I first began this project, I wanted to write about the LGBT community and how the Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual communities were treated differently than the transgender community for the most part. Unfortunately, when I finished my Genre Analysis, I realized that I did not want to research about that for a paper that needed a great amount of information for. For this reason, I decided that I had to change my topic, in which case I chose to learn about psychosis and sleep deprivation. This paper has extensive research which took me about a month to obtain because it was something that I had never heard of before, and that I had begun studying for my own pleasure. The reason I became interested in this topic is because my father is a truck driver, and I have met some of his friends who are also truck drivers who suffer from psychosis or schizophrenia. I have known these people for years and recently I noticed that they are acting differently and then we found out they had this illness. I felt intrigued, so I had to find out the causes which led me to find out it has to do a lot with peoples work hours. I think that this assignment was a success for me, because I really learned so much more information than what I would have learned if I did not have to actually write a paper on it. It was extremely interesting and fun to read about and I believe that anyone should truly learn about this more because it could happen to anyone. I think that if I could improve something in this essay, I would probably work more on my interview. Although I did complete one, I think that it was very short and I think I could have thought about my questions more thoroughly. Not only that, but I think the style in which I wrote my paper, it was more of a proposal to complete an actual experiment which made it hard for me to include an interview. I thought about making surveys, but for my project I needed people who were older than 30 years old and that took no drugs (medical or illegal) which would have been impossible to collect by the due date.
